AN AUTUMN AFTERNOON ESCAPE

Saturday afternoon we ventured out onto the Monongahelia River with our dear friend Daniel. Tony didn't have much energy, but mustered up the strength to make the trip. We arrive at the marina at 2pm, boarded the little boat, and headed up the river toward downtown Morgantown.

The morning had looked quite promising, with clear skies and bright sunshine, but by the time we got to the river, it was overcast and a bit nippy. So, we bundled Tony up for the cold ride. Along the way we spotted several blue herons, lots of Candian Geese, Mallards and a King Fisher. The turning leaves were stunning.

Tony's always loved being near or on the water, so this was a nice break from the cabin fever.

THE FAMILY HAS ARRIVED!!!

Our Megan arrived safely, about 4am Sunday morning. She joined me for church, and all were happy to see her and visit with her. As always the congregation was curious to hear how Fr. Tony was doing, and sent their many well wishes. Sunday afternoon Mark and Philip arrived. Tony was tired, but so VERY pleased to have his little flock, all under the same roof. He's been beeming with joy, as he spends time just sitting and chatting with them. This is the first time we've had our Megan together, with Mark and Philip, and what a pleasant time we're having.

This morning (Monday) the kids have gone off to do a bit of hiking up on the ridge at Coopers Rock. Hopefully they'll bring back lots of good pictures for me to show off to you all.

TODAY'S THE BIG DAY

....and a day mixed with so many emotions!!! We'll be meeting with the oncologist today, to review alllll the many tests done, and get a final diagnosis, as well as a "plan of attack". We're feeling quite at ease, because we've got the kids with us, a parish full of support, prayers from friends and family around the globe, and the bishop will be arriving soon to be with us as well.

All being well, I'll post the news this evening.

With much love and gratitude to you all, PitterPat
