THE WINTER WINDS WILL BLOW!
and don't forget to set your clock back tonight.

My, my... what a blustery day we're having. This always happens, just when the trees abound in beautiful colors, winter blows in with cold rain and heavy winds, stripping the leaves from the trees. Hrumph!

MORE FAMILY ARRIVING NEXT WEEK!!! YAY!!!

Sorry for the delay in posting to the blog, but have been quite busy continuing to rearrange the rooms (and cleaning, and disinfecting, and taking care of the livestock, and taking care of Tony, and grocery shopping, and keeping up with meds, and keeping up with doctor's appointments, and, and, and, and, and!), which means going through "stuff" I've been putting off since our last move. The reason for all the shifting of things is because our Abbey will be arriving next week! She and Lee will be flying into Pittsburgh, later in the week. We're thrilled beyond words about their visit. Megan will also be arriving next week, to do final preparations for her big trip to Thailand.

IPOD UPDATE

To date I've now 800+ pieces of classical music loaded on Tony's new iPod! This also means I've got 800+ pieces of same music sitting on my hard-drive! OY! Apple really, REALLY, needs to do something about requiring the music be held captive on one's computer! SPACE HOGGING is what it is! grin All hrumphing aside, Tony is thoroughly enjoying his iPod, especially with the noise reducing headphones I purchased for him. He's in classical music heaven. The best thing about the ipod is it seems to have eliminated all the scratches and distortion on the CDs.... damage caused from all the moving!

BTW: If anyone has a copy of Sir Charles Hubert Parry's Symphonies..... We'd LOVE to borrow it (purely for listening purposes, of course! wink-wink)... Tony's collection seems to have vanished in one of the moves.

LIVE STREAMING RADIO

If you don't have an iPod... no problem, but I would love to recommend that you download the iTunes program, if only for listening to live streaming radio. I've found some fantastic radio stations, from around the globe. It makes for nice background sound, when working on the computer. I'm especially fond of the "20s-30s-40s Radio Station"

FABRIC-OHOLIC NEW DISCOVERY

Today I ventured over to a shop I've been wanting to check out for over a year. It's called Fabric By The Yard. The owner purchases fabric from NC and sells it here locally. They've got oooooodles of trims, lots of quilting fabric, and a fine selection of home decorating fabrics. I'm thinking with all the hospital sitting time I have on my hands these days, I'll get back to some quilting. Of course, I have to admit the last thing I need is more fabric, but one can never have enough in her stash!

While out running my errands, the wind was blowing like crazy! Then, it began sleeting! It was quite a challenge to keep ye ole Jeep on the road. Tonight will be a good night for a nice cup of hot cocoa. Wish you could join us.

I'll close for now... will be posting again later.... dryer is done, must go fold, fold, fold.

Our love to you all! Do keep in touch, as we love hearing from you all. PitterPat

PS: DON'T FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK TONIGHT! and Tony will be taking the early service tomorrow. Please remember, that post chemo, there's no touching, hand shaking, hugging allowed. Sorry.
