APPLE 101... and...
OUR MEGAN'S OFFICIALLY... THAI BOUND!
NO human being should attempt a long drive at 3am... well, after only 2 hours of sleep, that is. OY, what a drive! Am trying to come out of a sleep deprived fog, to do this blog entry. So, please be understanding.

Our Megan saying her final goodbye to her pop, Fr. Tony.
After a full day of sorting, re-sorting, space-bagging, and stuffing her mega huge backpack, we managed to get all of Megan's necessities packed, AND she came in under the weight limit! We hit the hay about midnight, setting our alarms for 2am, with a departure time for the Pittsburgh airport set at 2:30am. Although we were both completely exhausted, we managed to get ready and leave the house by 2:45am. Along the way we encountered very little traffic, some rain, and scads of poor dear dead deer... scattered along the highway, from Morgantown all the way up toward Pittsburgh. NOT a pleasant sight!! Mind you, the basement guest room now looks like a bomb went off in it, and there seems to be Megan belongings spread from one end of the house to the other! Kids!
APPLE-MAC 101
As you can see from the images below, Abbey and Lee were a tremendous amount of help, getting Megan up and running on her new Macbook, and it was SO great to see them both. (I must admit I'm beginning to lust after an Apple. Yes, +Pierre, you were right!) They helped her get her macbook preferences, imac website, instant messenger (with video), and itunes all sorted out. Soon, Megan will be blogging away, from Thailand!

Megan called from Detroit to check in, and has spoken to her sister a few times. She'll be getting a bight to eat, then board her 14 hour flight to Tokyo. I hope to hear from her when she arrives in Tokyo, and will let you all know she arrived there safely. The next nerve wracking communication gap will be when she leaves Tokyo, and heads to Bangkok. When she arrives in Bangkok, she'll make her way via taxi to the hotel.
FR. TONY UPDATE
We have MOST excellent news. Fr. Tony went to the cancer center for his Monday appointment and found out from his previous blood work that the chemo IS WORKING! Thank you all for your prayers... they're working!!!
This coming Monday, Fr. Tony will begin round two of the chemotherapy. He'll arrive Monday at the cancer center for a 5 hour infusion of Rituximab (chemo potion). After the infusion, he'll return home where he'll spend the next 4 days hooked up to the other chemo drugs. Dr. Craig has worked a miracle and managed to get Care Partners to agree to oversee chemo "at home". It'll probably be a lot more work for me, having him at home, and keeping a close eye on him, but with the help of Care Partners, Dr. Craig, and all your care and support, I'm sure we'll manage... PLUS he won't have to endure four days of unknowns in the hospital.
Will post more later. Am feeling quite exhausted from lack of sleep.
