Ohhh, those post chemo nights...
Yesterday afternoon Fr. Tony began running the usual "post chemo" fever. It never got too high, but he was feeling a bit more dragged through the mud. Last night he had a difficult time sleeping, so today he's resting as much as possible. Ya just never know from day to day!
Praise and Thanks...
Just before Christmas Tony received a VERY special email from another priest in the diocese. Her vestry decided they would devote their annual Christmas collection to Megan and her volunteer work in Thailand. We could not have been more elated by this news, as Megan draws no salary for her work with Burma Border Projects and Social Action for Women... all the while living in extremely minimal accomodations, and pedaling a bike to and from work.
So, it is with great appreciation that we take this time to thank The Reverend Cheryl Winter and her parish, St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Hurricane, WV. Their parish donated $1,088.00. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you... from the bottom of our hearts.
Meg-Abroad Update
Megan continues to do well in Mae Sot. We did have a few scares over the Christmas holidays, while she was in Bangkok at the same time there were bombings going on, but fortunately she contacted us right away to let us know she was safe and sound.
We continue to ask for your prayers and donations. If you'd like to contribute to Megan's upkeep while she's working abroad, please visit our blog home page where you'll find a simply PayPal link. If you're a parishioner and would like to donate funds (and remember, no donation is too small), simply give your donation to Fr. Tony or put it in the collection plate (memo: Rector's Discretionary Fund: Megan).
