Fr. Tony Update: Tomorrow's the big day:

Tomorrow morning we'll wake at 5:45am, have a cup of tea (sans milk) and head for the hospital at 6:45am. Tony's to "check in" at 7am, and should be heading for the operating room by 8:30am.

Needless to say, we'll both be glad when this biopsy is behind us and the results are in. Over the past few months we've discovered we much prefer dealing with information and facts, as opposed to this dreaded waiting and wondering business.

I feel confident that all shall be well. Tony's a bit nervous this evening, but it could be that he's weary from all the poking, proding, feeling cruddy, and then some. I'm sure we'd both feel a bit better if we had a relationship with the eye surgeon, similar to the wonderful relationship we have with our hematologist/oncologist, Dr. C. But, I guess they all can't be perfect, right?!

We've had several folks sing the praises of the Eye Specialist that will be performing the biopsy, and Tony's got a hand picked, cream of the crop anesthesiologist taking care of him during surgery. So, rest assured he's in good hands.

Please continue to keep him in your prayers tomorrow. I'll report in as soon as we're home and Tony's settled in.

By the way.... if you missed church yesterday evening, you missed a wonderful meditation on the Rite I Prayer of Humble Access. A prayer this lover of the 1928 Prayer Book misses greatly. Tony will be continuing to do the Wednesday evening Holy Eucharist and Meditations on the Collects throughout Lent. If he can make it to church, surely you can, right?
