Fr. Tony Update: Plodding Along
Fr. Tony continues to get through the post chemo days, but it's sure not a pleasant experience. The fever continues to linger, and joint aches and pains seem a constant. Poor guy. Dr. says to continue on the Tylenol, so we'll continue on as directed.

We got news that Jack Frost was moved to a private room. YAY! Those double occupant rooms are the pits! It's difficult enough to sleep without the added noise of another roomy's machines beeping, nurses coming in at all hours, etc, etc. I'm glad he's got more comfortable digs. They'll soon be moving him to a rehab facility. Please do remember to hold Jack and Alice up in your prayers, daily. Tony and I know all too well the difficulty, frustration, aggravation, and unknowns of dealing with having your life turned upside-down. Don't forget to call and check on Alice, send Jack lots of "wishing you well" cards, and visit when able.
This morning Tony had his physical therapist come pay him a visit. I know he wasn't feeling quite up to it, but in the end it's better for his body to keep moving. I wrote to some other Waldenstrom's Mac patients and have since learned from them that the fever, aches, joint pains, chills and peripheral neuropathy are all common side affects of the chemo. So, I guess Tony's on the right track.
Whoops... time to fix lunch. Will be back shortly.
12:22am... Where did the day go?
PitterPat: Stuff
Same ole, same ole, as they say. Busy at home all day, tending to my Tony. 6pm went to my woodworking class and worked on the cat tree, then spent an hour on the lathe, working on Tony's walking stick. Should have it done next Tuesday, and can't wait to show you!
Hmmmm... I hear the tiny pitter patter of itsy bitsy feet in the ceiling. Must have some mice paying us a visit. Dogs going spare!
Medical Terminology class was last night. Didn't do so great on the 2 chapter quiz. Ah, well.... there'll be yet another quiz next week.
Meg-Abroad: Website Update
If you've not visited Megan's website, please do. Though she's not kept her journal as current as I would like, she has uploaded some great photos, and a couple more journal entries. CLICK HERE to visit her personal website.
Guess who got accepted to the Public Health program at the University of Oslo! Fortunately, it looks like Megan is sticking with Oregon State. I'm a bit relieved, as I think I'd like to have her back in the states for a couple of years, before she does more globe hopping.

Abbs and Lee: Thai Bound
Am so very excited for Abbey and Lee. They'll be leaving on the 19th at 8am, from Raleigh to D.C. From there, they catch their flight to Japan, then on to Bangkok. Yes, a VERY long day! I believe Megan will be meeting up with them in Bangkok. I'm sure they'll all have a great time together.
Geee, here I go publishing a blog after midnight...... excuse any typos, poor grammar, or .... Night all, PitterPat
