1) Photos edited and posted on Picasa
To view the photos from Maui in my Picasa Public Gallery, simply CLICK HERE, or click on any of the four links below. When you get to the Public Gallery Page, click on any one of the folders, then select "slide show".
I've attempted to organize the photos into 4 folders:
Hopefully over the coming days I'll have a little movie created with each group of pictures. I also have some short videos from around the island. Have yet to figure out how to upload them for viewing, but will let you know as soon as I figure it out.
2) Fr. Tony Update:
Fr. Tony continues to do well, getting around and such, though he's still battling the maddening itching. We gather it has something to do with the chemo, but who really knows! He's spent some of this week at the office catching up on things. Sunday he'll be leaving for Williamsburg where he'll be joining the rest of the NNECA crew as editor of their bi-monthly publication of LEAVEN. If you're an Episcopal clergy person or parish and not receiving a copy of LEAVEN, please do visit their website and find out how you can get on the mailing list.
3) Abbey Update:
Our Abbey has been quite busy with her new job and was also bumped up to the being an official derby queen, skating in the final bouts of the season. To show the team what she's made of, she managed to get the winning point for her team! To see images of our Abbey enjoying herself, CLICK HERE.
4) Megan Update:
Our Megan left this morning for her long drive to Oregon. She'll be staying with friends along the way. Once she arrives in Portland, she'll be hoping to get a job and find a place to stay, while she spends the next year establishing residency. The following two years will be spent attending OSU where she will get a Masters in International Public Health. Please keep her in your prayers as she travels west.
5) PitterPat:
Hmmmm.... well, I'm still dragging my heels about forcing Maui from my mind, but shall work toward trying to get our lives and the house sorted out, in preparation for school. Still have vaccinations to get, books to buy, fees to pay (must make note to rob a bank!), and start doing some pre-school reading.
The pups, parrots, and cat are adjusting to us being back home, though Hemmingway, Daisy and Buddy seem far more vocal then usual (driving me nuts!). Ruby and Mikey learned some new words and noises while we were away, and on occasion I can hear them hollering and whistling for Harry or Luigi, in Megan's voice.
My flower and vege garden managed to survive under Megan's care. YAY!
I do have one very strange thing happening in one of my garden patches. Who knew tomatoes reseeded themselves! (see image above) Before I left I allotted a bit of space for tomato, cucumber and pepper plants. When I came home, it seems the tomato patch I had last year decided to take over my rose bush space! So, I'm looking for takers for this ample supply of Roma tomato plants!
The other day Megan and I had the chance to go for a boat ride on the Mon river with our dear friend Daniel. It was great to be out on the water, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Megan had a nice break from the stress of her big move.
Well, must get back to catching up on things. Enjoy the photos! PitterPat
