Fr. Tony Update: EXCELLENT NEWS on the Cancer front...
An Over Abundance of God Water... DRAT!!!

Fr. Tony Update: EXCELLENT NEWS on the Cancer front!!!
Early this morning Tony went to the Cancer Center for blood work. Later we returned to see Tony's wonderful Oncologist, Dr. Michael David Craig. The results from the Blood Work were all excellent!! Before we went to Maui blood work revealed great progress. Today's result was extraordinary. Thanks be to God.
Next week Tony is to have a cholesterol test to see whether he's a suitable candidate for a new treatment for this kind of cancer. So far, in some patients it has shown success in keeping the cancer under control.
There's also hope that the neuropathy in his feet and legs will gradually get better, and with a lot of hope, maybe the itching will also subside.
We are truly grateful to the people all over the world who have kept Tony in their prayers over these long months. We attribute Tony's restoration to health to you, Dr. Craig, and to Maui!

AN OVER ABUNDANCE OF GOD WATER!!!
We drove home from seeing Dr. Craig, just as the sky was opening up..... and pooooring! I was concerned about the amount of water falling and any accumulation around the outside of the house, especially where the new retaining wall was constructed. By the time I got to the garage, the water was already coming in.. heading for the drain in the middle of the floor. Phew... what a relief, I thought to myself...
I spent a few minutes checking out the laundry room, and by the time I returned to the garage, water was accumulating rapidly! My boxes! Our garage is 1/2 full of storage boxes! I quickly tried to get any cardboard boxes up off the floor, but the water was rising fast... What a nightmare!!! What to do!!!
The wood parts for the cat tree I was making were getting soaked... I tried using them as a barrier to the water, but it didn't help. Brilliant person that I am (NOT!) I decided to open the garage door to see if I could fight the water coming in. BIG MISTAKE! A tidal wave of water entered the garage.... There was no way to keep my boxes dry at this point!
Before I got the door back down, I noticed the NEW (built just last week) retaining wall was gushing water. The retaining wall runs perpendicular to the garage, and is obviously holding back a main area for drainage, since it's all downhill across the back yard, to that corner. sigh!
I didn't know where to turn, so I called the water department. While on hold, I noticed water was accumulating under my feet, where I sit at my computer, AND in the laundry room!!! More water! YIKES The water company quickly sent out some guys to see if there was a clogged floor drain. Two very nice guys arrived and noticed the drain hole just outside the garage door had been buried (by the same folks who installed the retaining wall, I presume!), and was now full of dirt and rocks. GREAT! So, they sandbagged our garage door and told me I needed to get that drain checked out... not their job. :)
I'm now desperately trying to find boxes as I now have the unpleasant task of going through ALL the boxes, tossing things, repacking, drying what I can out, and coming up with a way to prevent this from happening again!
GEEE, I didn't have anything else I needed to do for the next week!!!! Hrumph!
