UPDATE: Doctor's visit...
WVU fans... are you sitting down?
Fr. Tony in his WVU scrub/jammys. We're sure all our WVU professor, staff and physician parishioners are now experiencing a frisson of unexplainable proportions, but calm yourselves, and get up off the floor!
fris*son [free-sohn]: a sudden, passing sensation of excitement; a shudder of emotion; thrill
VISIT WITH DR. MICHAEL DAVID CRAIG
Fr. Tony's appointment was set for 3pm. As we entered the parking lot, and no spaces were to be had, we suspect there would probably be a very long wait! Our suspicions were confirmed when we entered the center, and the waiting lobby was packed! Around 4:15pm he was called back to have his PICC line flushed and redressed, and have more blood drawn. We were then greeted with a warm and welcoming smile by our dear Dr. Craig. He's SUCH a dear!
After discussing the 6 pounds lost, after eating us out of house and home, we were put at ease finding out the steroids Tony's been taking, are most likely the culprit. We're still slightly concerned about Tony's low blood pressure, but will keep tabs on it, now that we have an automatic blood pressure taking device.
After the doctor's appointment, we had a late afternoon cup of tea, Tony watched the news awaiting the call from church, where the clergy were meeting. He went to the clergy meeting, and returned after 9pm. Me thinks he had a far too busy day, in his condition, and within an hour he was feeling whoozy and dizzy. Kinda worrying! After a good night sleep, he was up and making tea, showered and is off to meet with the clergy again. He's under strict orders to call if he's feeling too tired!!
MORGANTOWN AUTUMN WEATHER
After a couple days of WINDY and rainy weather, the trees are almost completely stripped of their beautiful fall colors. Drat! Yesterday was glorious. The temperature was just right, and the sun was shining beautifully!
PROJECTS
In between re-organizing rooms, cleaning, sorting, unpacking boxes, and getting lodgings ready for the kids, I've been washing and ironing fabric.. with plans for a couple of possible quilts. Now, if I can just find someone to machine or hand quilt them! As is always the case, too much repetative work drives me bonkers!
Christmas looms on the horizon, so it's time to get into full gear. Am having to search for fabrics on line, as our fabric sources here in Morgantown are sorely lacking. I even went so far as to write to the corporate offices of Hancocks Fabrics, to see if they would consider putting a store here!
THAI BOUND: UPDATE
It won't be long now, and our Megan will be departing for Thailand. She leaves next week, arriving in Bangkok some time around midnight. She'll sleep the night, and see some of the sights of Bangkok, then catch the 9:30pm bus for Mae Sot. She has a home waiting for her, with Dr. Fox. They're anxiously awaiting her arrival! We can't thank those enough, who have contributed to her volunteer work with the Burma Border Projects. We're still taking contributions, if you're interested in helping support her while she's away.
Almost forgot! Megan took her GRE's yesterday, and passed with flying colors. After she returns from Thailand, she'll be heading on to get her Masters Degree in Public Health!
Coffee calling! Must go for now. Have a glorious day all!>
