DAY TWO AND ALL'S WELL

Fr. Tony's well past the first 24 hours of chemo, and no ill side affects. He's keeping his spirits up, eating well, taking walks around the 9th floor, and behaving.

I snapped this photo when I arrived. Dr. Bradford brought Tony a new bed mate. She sure beats his room-mate! But, I won't go into that right now, or I'll be up all night typing!

You were right, mom.... pork chops were on the menu for dinner. The "oh, so yummy" looking meal (not!) above, was his lunch. We thought we'd share a picture of the "gourmet" meals he's getting. Fortunately, Tony's visitors must be well aware of the meal situation, and most show up with a goody bag! Today's treat was a few slices of heavenly carrot cake. Thank you Britt! We shared the cake with a visiting priest, over a nice cup of tea.

OH... mustn't forget. THANK YOU Pamela for the lovely hawaiian silk flower arrangement! As soon as I saw them come in the room, I thought "Pamela must have sent these". They're quite lovely! There's nothing like plants and flowers to brighten up a dull hospital room!

Speaking of flowers. Today I found my passion vine had produced a beautiful flower. This was a bit surprising, since a week ago I brought the vine into the house, and have been sort of been neglecting it. I snipped the little gem, and made a small flower arrangement for Tony.

Tony had a few visitors today, and he truly enjoyed their company. If you've not yet popped in for a visit, please do.

More later.... must get new iPod loaded for tomorrow.

Much love to you all

Pat
