SO FAR SO GOOD!... 8 Hours of chemo under his belt, and all is well.

I spent the afternoon and evening with Tony, and am happy to report he's doing very well. Me thinks it was the nice cup of tea I fixed for him. (grin)
Dr.s McFadden and Bradford paid him a visit, which he enjoyed. Dr. Craig (his oncologist) popped in for an end of the day "all's well". The bishop called to check up on Tony, and will be popping in for a visit next week. He ordered Tony to focus on getting better, and not worry at all about the parish. Tony also got a call from a dear friend in Hawaii, and spoke to his boys, Philip and Mark.
He'd hoped to be able to keep his blog going, while he passed the hours in hospital, but I was unable to tap into any networks. Hrumph! Can you imagine, a university hospital with NO wifi?!!
The doc seems to think our Tony shouldn't have much of a problem with this first round of chemo. The same may not be true for the next round, as they'll be adding another cancer killing agent to the mix.
Please do feel free to stop by for a visit or call. Sitting tied to a bed is quite a bore for him.
Tony's asked me to remind you all that tomorrow is St. Luke's day.... a day dedicated to doctors. He feels quite safe and secure in the hands of his oncologist and the staff at Ruby Memorial.
Must get some sleep
Thank you all for continuing to stay in touch and keep the prayers coming
