Friday.. and Turkey Day is just around the corner...

Not much happening in the Clavier household. In fact, it's been a cold, dreary and non-productive day, for the most part. The most exciting thing to happen was Care Partners arriving to unhook Fr. Tony from his buddy, the chemo bag. You can be sure he's quite the happy camper, now that he's not strapped to the fanny pack.

Over the coming week to 10 days we have to keep a close eye on how Fr. Tony's doing. Post chemo one can still have side affects from the poison. Regular checking of his blood pressure and temperature are a must, as well as keeping things as clean and germ/bacteria free as possible.

Ah, I just remembered, I did get to do a good deed today. The nurse from Care Partners was telling us all about her adorable, and well loved cockateil. Before she left I was able to give her the huge cage we used to keep our cockateil in. I just couldn't stand by and listen to her telling me about the cramped quarters her bird was living in. Her problem was solved, AND it freed up space in the garage! YAY!

TURKEY DAY

Hmmmm... I wonder what lucky type of bird we'll be feasting upon this year. Goose? Duck? Cockatoo or African Grey? Mark and Paul (and possibly Diane) will be joining us for the Feast of all Turkeys. We're looking forward to their visit.

Megaroo Update:

I chatted with Megan this morning. She continues to do well, in spite of mosquitos trying to carry her away at night. Her first official introduction to S.A.W. (Social Action for Women) happened yesterday (or was it tomorrow?... hmmm), and seem thrilled to have her there. From what I gather, she'll be helping teach English and work on creating a website for the organization. Megan will also be doing research for some grant writing, and look into some possible fund raising ideas. The most exciting thing about her visit with SAW is hearing they would like to help contribute toward her meals and rent. As is always the case with our Megan, she's not thrilled about this pitifully poor organization shelling out any money on her, when they so deserately need it for themselves.

This weekend Megan will be trying to work out the dot.mac program, so she can get her website up and running. Soon, I should be able to post a link to it for you.

Piddly stuff:

While in unproductive mode, I spent the day working on a logo for a new venture I hope to revive. While we were living in South Dakota, I was designing and making crochet hats, scarves, handbags, etc. It's that wintery time of year, so maybe while I'm doing all this waiting room sitting, I can get plenty of items made, to list on ebay. Below is a rough draft of the logo I'm thinking of using....

Yes, there's a bit of Mucha inspiration there. I'm quite fond of both Mucha and Erte's art.

Not much else to report. It's about that time... must make dinner, and possibly watch one of the Lord of the Rings movies. Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive then today. Ta Ta y'all! PitterPat
