Friday Morning 7am Wake up call from Tony, and I'm beginning to think he'd be better off back on the 9th floor, his home away from home... where we know the nurses... the nurses know Tony and CARE about him a great deal! (Dr. Craig? That hint is for you- wink-wink).
Have showered... now, if I could just get the puff to go away from around my eyes! KBO as Tony says!
It seems that during the night Tony's stomach was feeling more queezy then it had been. He buzzed the nurse to let the nurse know he needed something........ nothing..... nothing...... time goes by.... nothing.... He calls again...... nothing... nothing... nothing..... Calls again.... she appears at doorway to say she was getting something, then disappears as he's calling out to her..... BLEH!.... His tummy turns inside out all over the place! sigh What a way to start the morning!!!
Meanwhile, he's on a turning schedule, and I can't help but wonder if anyone turned him during the night!
Note: Just in case anyone thinks I'm standing over the nurses barking commands..... wrong.... I learned long ago that you catch more flies with honey! Aggrivating? You betcha! We sit hours on end at the mercy of whomever comes along. There doesn't seem to be any concerted effort toward preventative measures. At present our concern is that Tony could develop an ulcer from all the antibiotics being crammed into his stomach, without much food to help absorb it. I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before Thrush kicks in, because of the antibiotics. Hrumph
Tony just called again, seems quite distressed... not from his ailments as much as the frustration of it all.
Last night he asked the CA, while she was in the room, to assist him with getting out of bed to use the toilet. She said she'd be back shortly. 1/2 hour passed, she'd not returned. We buzzed for assistance and were told someone would be coming. Nothing.... nothing... nothing... We buzzed again, and eventually the CA returned and admitted she'd forgotten. sigh...........
Must finish getting ready and head to hospital to try and sort things out. More later. Any clergy out there who want to come visit, please feel free to do so.
