URGENT AMENDMENT TO YESTERDAY'S BLOG:
Fr. Tony did receive communion yesterday. Last night just after I left for the spaghetti dinner, Fr. Kirk brought Tony communion. YAY! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you... Fr. Kirk.
Monday Morning Update:
New word for the day.... ILEUS
Ileus is defined as a disruption of the normal propulsive gastrointestinal motor activity from non-mechanical mechanisms. From what I gather, this can be a common occurrence when the body is fighting hard in other areas to get better. He's now on a NO FOOD for two days order. ugh......
An hour or so from now they'll be inserting the additional chest tube. Fortunately Tony's in excellent hands with the new shift of nurses. Might even have a convert in the works. grin Yes, even from his hospital bed he's walking the walk!
