1. Fr. Clavier Cancer/Chemo Update...
Fr. Tony has spent the day feeling just fine. No fever and no aches and pains. Amazing what a little steroids can do for you, aye? Yesterday he didn't have the strength to lift his bottom out of a chair, or walk without a walking stick, and today he's chipper and mobile! Thanks Be To God.... and our Dr. Mikey.
2. Puter Withdrawal...
Fr. Tony's main artery was cut this afternoon... not really, but close to it! You see, we bit the bullet and took the ole laptop to the computer guys for a once over, tune up, whiping clean, and reloading, as well as a huge memory upgrade. Although the Dell is a bit ancient, as computers go, it works like a charm! It'll be a week before Fr. Tony has access to the world wide web (except for when he invades my computer). So, if you're expecting an email or reply from him, please be patient. He'll find a way!
3. Cabin Fever Solution
As you can imagine, being couped up during the winter months is difficult enough, but being couped up from the world, to prevent catching any little bug floating around, can be quite crazy making. Today, Fr. Tony was feeling so well, he ran errands with me. We drove over to Greenbag Road and dropped off the laptop, then made our way through the winding back roads of Morgantown, toward Cheat Lake, and our Vets office, and picked up antibiotics for our little Luigi, so he can have his dental work/surgery done, this coming Monday. We were both reminded how beautiful this little part of the world is, and commented how it would be a lovely place to retire to.
After running errands, we stopped at my old faithful coffee-ing hole, Starbucks, where we sat back in overstuffed chairs, enjoying a nice cup of warm coffee on this cold winter's eve, watching the full moon rise over the hills. All is well with the world, this fine winter day.
4. One (sigh) Less Bunny In The World Today
As if our days aren't challenging enough, last night our Airedale, Harry, added a bit of a twist! It seems some poor rabbit got caught in our back yard, during the early evening hours. Harry must have chased it till the poor thing tired out, and when that fun was done, he decided to consume the rabbit. I didn't know this was going on, and only realized something was up when Harry came in for the evening and proceeded to reveal ALL the contents of his stomach before me. I was mortified, and wondered if all this blood and gutts before me meant there was a dead human being in our back yard! It was THAT gross!!!! I cleaned it all up, which was NOT an easy feet, and when the morning light came, I saw what was left of the poor bunny; one head/two legs, and two other legs. OY! Dogs!!!
5. Epiphany Is Coming!

Won't be long now and it'll be tree burning time. St. Thomas a Becket Episcopal Church will have their Annual Epiphany Covered Dish Supper and Tree Burning Celebration.
Last year we enjoyed watching as the pyromaniacs of our lot proved they were up to the task! If you live in Morgantown, please plan to join us, and don't forget your Christmas Tree. It will be an evening of fun and family fellowship, and a great time to bring your friends, family and co-workers.
Spread the word!
Night All,
