THE NINTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS
Fr. Tony Update, Our Busy Day, and Resolution Projects.
Fr. Tony:
Well, we started the day with a bang.... literally! Tony lost his balance and fell in the kitchen this morning. Once we got him back on his pins, he was fine, except for a sore wrist. We had our morning cup of tea, got showered, and headed for the cancer center. After noticing he wouldn't put any weight on his wrist, they decided to XRay it. So far, we think there's nothing wrong, but the next few days may tell a bit better.
Around 1pm they got him hooked up to the chemo, and he was done by 5pm. During that time, I managed to get over to MTEC and register for classes, and take a 40 minute walk along the riverside. The sun was shining beautifully, and there was a crisp cool air about.
Ruby (our African Grey) has now learned a new word.... Paaaat... in a mournful sounding call. After Tony fell, he was calling for me, in that same tone. She's picking up words very quickly these days, but I would prefer hearing her call my name in a more cheerful manner.
Fr. Tony is home resting. The doctor printed off his labwork and all seems to be going well. Hopefully he'll do well this week, and be able to put in some time at the office. Will keep you all posted.
